Wallowing in Self-Pity
While some honky-tonkers take an occasional dip in self-pity, not the Carpetbaggers. They prefer to wallow in it.
But not without having some fun. Far from being grim, the band's sound is often contagiously rhythmic, reverberating with echos of early Elvis and Johnny Cash.
